Maximum Kinetics Sports Performance is a leader in human performance in SWLA. We hold ourselves to a high standard of advancing our understanding of the human body and adapting to our client’s needs. We center our training around our three pillars of movement, mindset, and recovery, which combine to make our integrative experience.
We aren’t your normal gym. As an MKSP intern, you will develop the skills that make you a Whole Athlete, which will in turn, help others become a Whole Athlete.
Who is an athlete? An athlete is anyone pushing their limits to become fitter and healthier, and the best version of themselves. Whether our clients play a professional sport or are looking to get into shape, we are all athletes. But what makes a Whole Athlete? Here at Maximum Kinetics Sports Performance, we take your success personally.That's why we believe a personalized blend of movement, nutrition, mindset, and recovery build the Whole Athlete.
We believe it’s important to understand the ins and outs of our training methodology, so you can take those skills and apply them to every single one of our clients, from corporate wellness clients, professional athletes, to elementary aged children. You will learn our MKSP training system that has been studied and implemented by high level performance specialists around the nation.
An MKSP intern will assist in the training implementation of Athlete Preparation (8-18 years), Adult Fitness Training including MK Group Classes, as well as facility upkeep and participation in team meetings whenever feasible. They are expected to be adaptable, enthusiastic and eager to learn. We are a facility known for helping our clients reach their highest potential in and out of the gym. Here’s what you’ll learn for us.
Month One:
1. Our training systems and methodology include but are not limited to: dynamic warm up integration and recovery systems, corrective exercise applications, and soft tissue modalities.
2. Introduction to team meetings and team curriculum.
3. Introduction to our facility system, member acquisition, and client check ins.
4. Introduction to cues and verbiage while working with new clients.
Month Two:
1. Linear and multi-directional movement with youth prep groups.
2. Agility, plyometric and medicine ball applications.
3. Introduction to sport nutrition with our certified sport consultant.
4. Creating group class workouts and facilitating.
5. Introduction to program design and development.
Month Three:
1. Learn and build upon upper-body, lower-body and rotational lifting progressions.
2. Expand upon functional movement application and integration into program design.
3. Application and development of a custom program design.
4. Teach the teacher development day.
